Klein Oak dominated both offensively and defensively
Wed. night to take home their first district win against DeKaney
32-0.
From the top of the order to the
subs, Klein Oak became an offensive wrecking crew in less than 4
innings, scoring 32 times against DeKaney. Every Panther came
to the plate and everyone scored at least once during the game.
Offensive highlights included 16 walks, and a 2 run home run by
Jacob Fowler. A mighty bat by Steven Butler scored 8 RBI's
before the end of the night.
Defensively, Zach Schulze was a
master on the mound as he struck out 7 of the 11 batters for
DeKaney. A great throw from catcher Graham Lange to 3rd baseman
Chris Thompson caught one of the few DeKaney baserunners as he
tried to steal on the Panthers in the first inning. Both sides
showed great class and sportsmanship as the DeKaney parents
continued to cheer for their team even after the loss. Great
job sophomores. Thanks Coach Harwell for standing in for Coach
Penn.
